Ann-Margaret H. Dudley is currently serving as Associate Director of Admissions for UHLC. She is primarily responsible for developing marketing, communications, and admissions strategy for UHLC and helping establish objectives and priorities for the direction of the Admissions Department. Further, in her role Ann-Margaret helps drive recruiting efforts and provide brand management across all mediums. She supports and partners with multiple stakeholders such as the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC), Career Development, Alumni Relations, Advancement, Event Planning, Faculty, Deans, and external media to coordinate and execute strategic vision of the Law School.
Prior to arriving at the University of Houston Law Center, Ann-Margaret was a Director in Major, Lindsey & Africa's Houston office, where she is a member of the In-House Practice Group. Her practice focuses on recruitment of general counsels, chief compliance officers and other senior attorneys for corporate clients. Further, she specialized in consulting with client corporations to build, grow and restructure legal departments through the acquisition of top legal talent and the implementation of strategic initiatives designed to increase efficiency and reduce overall legal spending. She worked with clients throughout the Texas region and across the country. Prior to joining the team at MLA, Ann-Margaret was a commercial litigation attorney in New York and Houston with a practice focused on construction and employment litigation as well as criminal regulatory defense.
Prior to and during law school, Ann-Margaret was a paralegal with the Asset Forfeiture Unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Massachusetts.
