The Law School Admission Council provides fee waivers for applicants with extreme financial need. For more information on eligibility and to apply, please go to http://www.lsac.org/jd/lsat/fee-waivers.asp. The fee waiver will cover two LSATs (test dates must fall within the two-year waiver period); the CAS registration, which includes the letter of recommendation service and the electronic law school application service; four free LSDAS Law School Reports (available only after CAS registration is complete); and one free copy of the Official LSAT SuperPrep®.
If you receive an LSAC fee waiver, your application fee will automatically be waived when you apply to the UHLC JD program. You do not need a coupon code; the fee waiver will trigger automatically.
The UH Law Center provides a limited number of application fee waivers based on demonstrated financial need. The deadline to apply for an application fee waiver for Fall 2014 Full-time admission is January 15, 2014. The deadline to apply for an application fee waiver for Fall 2014 Part-time admission is April 1, 2014. To apply for a fee waiver, please complete the fee waiver application and mail or fax it to the admissions office. If your fee waiver application is approved, we will contact you via email and provide you with a coupon code that you will use to submit your application electronically. You must submit your fee waiver application several weeks before you plan to submit your admissions application so that we will have enough time to consider your request and send you a coupon code. Please note that transfer and visiting applicants are not eligible for fee waivers.
Current and former Teach for America corps members may request a fee waiver by submitting a written request to the address below. Please provide a letter from Teach for America to confirm your eligibility. Once your request has been reviewed, we will contact you via email and provide you with a coupon code that you will use to submit your application electronically. You must submit your fee waiver request several weeks before you plan to submit your admissions application so that we will have enough time to process it.
Fee waivers are not available for transfer or visiting applications. The Office of Admissions will not refund application fees for applicants who choose to submit an application for admission before their fee waiver is approved.
