LLM grad presents paper in Japan

Tania Calvao examines sovereign wealth in Brazil at the Sustainability Conference

Feb. 11, 2013 – University of Houston Law Center alumna Tania Calvao, LL.M. ‘10 presented a paper at the Ninth International Conference on Environmental Cultural, Economic and Social Sustainability in Hiroshima, Japan.

Calvao’s paper is entitled The Brazilian Social Fund and International Experience in Sovereign Wealth Funds: Lessons to be Learned from Existing International Practices on Sovereign Wealth.

The Sustainability Conference creates a forum for discussion of innovative theories and practices of sustainability. The conference is cross-disciplinary in their scope, a meeting point for natural and social scientists, researchers and practitioners, professionals and community representatives. The 2013 event was held Jan. 23-25.
