Warren HarrisAt this busy time of year, it’s always nice when you can retreat to a friendly gathering of classmates and colleagues.  The Law Center Holiday Coffee hosted by Dean Nimmer on Saturday provided a perfect seasonal refuge for a large crowd of hundreds of our alumni, including many donors who have joined the new Dean’s Society.  Included in the crowd were members of the judiciary, faculty, friends and even a few students who had just completed a grueling final exam.  (Remember how much fun those were?)

I personally want to thank Dean Nimmer for restoring the luster to one of the Law Center’s storied traditions.  The Holiday Coffee has assumed its rightful place as one of the key social events of the season for Law Center alumni and for the legal community at large.  Together with our annual Law Gala & Auction, the Holiday Coffee helps reinforce what it means to be a graduate of one of the leading law schools in the country.

A photo album with images from the Holiday Coffee will soon be posted on the alumni section of the Law Center website, and I encourage you to flip through its pages.   Thanks to everyone who made this event so special.

On behalf of the board of directors of the UH Law Alumni Association, I wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season.  May the New Year bring good things not only to our alumni, but also to the school that made our career successes possible.
