2014 Joseph A. Vail Unaccompanied Alien Child & Asylum Workshop

2014 Joseph A. Vail Unaccompanied Alien Child & Asylum Workshop

UH Law Center, Bates Law Building, Room 209
8AM to 5PM  (Check-in begins at 8AM. Program begins at 8:40AM.)

The workshop, hosted by the UH Immigration Clinic in conjunction with Catholic Charities and YMCA International, took place at the UH Law Center on October 3, 2014 and is accredited for 6.75 CLE hours (including 1 ethics hour) by the State Bar of Texas.

The morning portion of the workshop focused on Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC) asylum issues. In the afternoon we were fortunate to have two retired Immigration Judges who will speak for a portion of the program on asylum and related issues.

Licensed attorneys who attended the free CLE training pledged to take at least one UAC case following the training.

For information about UAC cases, contact Geoffrey Hoffman at ghoffman@central.uh.edu.
