Hours and Support

User Support

Operation hours and support:

  • Student Help Desk Hours (located in the commons)
    • SUMMER HOURS Monday - Thurday 9am - 6pm, Friday 9am - 1pm, Saturday 12p - 4pm
  • Help Desk (Faculty/Staff): 7am to 5pm M-F 713.743.2260
  • For assistance on Saturdays, there are Graduate Assistants available from 12-4pm at the Student Help Desk. 713.743.2309

Tech support Information

    • Most requests are resolved within 1 hour of initial contact depending on the scope of the issue
    • Purchasing equipment can take up to 2 months depending on the equipment being ordered. 
    • Computer move requests need to be made at least 1 business day in advance.
    • In order to expedite a request during the work week (7am to 5pm), click the Help button in the lower right hand corner OR on mobile devices email lawcomputerhelp@central.uh.edu OR call 713-743-2260

 

    Media Services

  • Hours of Operation for the Media Servies Department (during the Fall and Spring Semesters) are: 8am-9pm M-Th, 8am-4pm on Friday
  • Contact 713-743-1668 or lawmsrvs@central.uh.edu for assistance or scheduling.
  • Event setups in Krost, other rooms with mic placement, outside equipment brought in is a minimum of 1 business day in advance.
  • With classes, we have very limited windows to set up such outside equipment. Requests need to be made 1 business day in advance to insure that the request can be done.
  • For classroom recordings using Mediasite, a minimum of an hour or more notice is needed to allow time for programming of the recorder.
