Feb. 10, 2014- Center for U.S. and Mexican Law Affiliate Scholar Dr. Miriam Grunstein will receive an award from Petroleo & Energia Magazine during the 100 Energy Sector Leaders of 2014 luncheon March 4 at the St. Regis Hotel in Mexico City.
Petroleo & Energia, a leading publication of energy law in Mexico, will award Grunstein with the Energy Achievement Award in the Scientific-Scholastic category for her contribution and advancements to the field.
Grunstein is a professor of law at Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) University School of Law in Mexico City, and co-director of the Center for U.S. and Mexican Law’s Phase 1 of the Gulf of Mexico Project. The Gulf of Mexico Project was developed to identify potential areas of regulatory conflict that could endanger the environment of the Gulf of Mexico. Grunstein oversees the Mexico research of the project.
