Forbes cites UHLC joint energy law degree with Canada in calling UH a star in the 'Big 12' of energy! 

Sept. 30, 2016 – Forbes magazine today noted the University of Houston Law Center's energy program while praising the university for its multi-discipline energy research, saying it rivals MIT in its cutting–edge efforts to find better ways to extract oil and gas as well as develop alternative cleaner and renewable energy sources.

Michael Krancer, a Forbes contributor, partner in the firm of a Blank Rome LLP, and longtime corporate adviser on a wide range of energy  matters, wrote that in football crazy Texas, where UH is currently vying for a spot in the prestigious Big 12 league, UH is setting the bar in the "Big 12" of energy.

He cites innumerable programs, including the University of Houston Law Center's joint energy law degree program with the University of Calgary, as examples of the school's commitment and exceptional expertise in the field.
