Oct. 23, 2017 – The University of Houston Law Center received an A- from the National Jurist in its annual survey recognizing 'Best Value' law schools. The Law Center was among 19 law schools with that designation.
"The Law Center has long been an institution of great value that attracts high-caliber students who graduate with outstanding employment outcomes and modest debt," said Dean Leonard M. Baynes. "The National Jurist confirms all that we know about the Law Center."
The survey weighed a number of factors to determine which graduates have an excellent chance to pass the bar and land a job without racking up a ton of debt. The formula included bar passage rates, employment rates, in-state tuition, cost of living, and average indebtedness at graduation.
"With legal education seeing dramatic turmoil, we celebrate those schools that have risen to the challenge and continue to offer affordable, quality education," The National Jurist said in a statement.
