April 16, 2014 -- The University of Houston Law Center is launching a post-graduate placement program in public interest law funded by the Yale Leonard and Irene Merker Rosenberg Fellowship program.

Select public interest organizations will host a Law Center graduate to work with its office for a 13-month period. The Law Center will cover a significant portion of the fellow's salary, while the organization will cover the remaining salary and benefits. Confirmed placements include:

  • Lone Star Legal Aid, Consumer Law Fellow

Tentative placements in mental health and juvenile criminal defense are still being discussed.

The late Yale and Irene Rosenberg were long-time professors at the Law Center.
