May 14, 2015 - University of Houston Law Center professor and businessman Anthony R. Chase will be honored tonight by the Houston Technology Center as part of its annual “Celebration of Entrepreneurs” at the Hyatt Regency Hotel downtown.

"Houston, the state of Texas, and our nation are richer because of the business results, civic commitment and philanthropy of this extraordinary gentleman and successful entrepreneur," Walter Ulrich, president and CEO of the Houston Technology Center, said in announcing the award earlier.

Chase is chairman and CEO of ChaseSource, L.P., a staffing and real estate development firm, which Black Enterprise magazine ranked as one of the nation’s largest minority owned companies in 2014. He serves on several corporate and civic boards, is a former chairman of the Greater Houston Partnership, and the recipient of numerous awards.

Chase joined the Law Center faculty in 1990. He teaches contracts, communication law, entrepreneurship, and race and American law. Over the years, he has founded and sold three companies, Chase Radio Partners, Cricket Wireless, and ChaseCom.

The Technology Center is a non-profit organization that serves as a catalyst for development of technology companies.
