March 21, 2016 -- The University of Houston Law Center’s communications and marketing department recently won several honors in the 2015 Collegiate Advertising Awards.
The Law Center was recognized for its digital journal, eBriefcase, in the Newsletter category with a Gold Award. UHLC also won a Gold Award in the Brochure – Multiple Pages category. In the Magazine Advertising category, the Law Center won a Bronze Award.
“Our team works hard on a daily basis to make sure everyone knows that UH Law Center is the leading law school in the nation’s fourth largest city with outstanding faculty, staff, students, and alumni,” said Carrie Anna Criado, executive director of communications and marketing.
The UHLC team consists of Criado; John Kling, communications manager; Elena Hawthorne, multimedia specialist; and John Brannen, writer. Vuong Pham, director of university marketing; Alese Pickering, art director; and Katie Horrigan, senior graphic designer, from UH Central marketing and communications also assisted with creation and design of the Law Center’s brochure.
The competition is judged by a panel of design and higher education marketing professionals. Entries are evaluated by creativity, layout and design, typography, production, quality, and overall effectiveness. Advertising materials are rated on a scale of Beautiful, Gold, Silver, and Bronze by category and group.
