Feb. 28, 2018 - The University of Houston Law Center unveiled a new on-campus dining option with a grand opening ceremony of the Market at Law Center last week.
The store is adjacent to the Commons in the space that was formerly a Subway.
"Law Center students have been very patient since Subway closed," Dean Leonard M. Baynes said. "One of the things we were really pleased with the marketplace opening up is that it has a variety of different cuisines.
"What's most powerful about it is that students will have access, even when there is no one on staff. If you study late at night or for night students in between classes, you will be able to go there and get food."
Attendees received a T-shirt and complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
