Aug. 17, 2015 – University of Houston Law Center Professor and former Dean Raymond T. Nimmer has been selected by his peers for the 22nd time as one of the nation’s “Best Lawyers in America” his specialty areas.

Nimmer is cited in the 22nd edition of “Best Lawyers in America” for his expertise in the fields of Copyright Law, Information Technology Law, Litigation - Intellectual Property, Litigation – Patent, Patent Law, and Trademark Law.

Selection for Best Lawyers, regarded as the most credible and definitive guide to legal excellence in the U.S., is based on a peer-review survey and confidential evaluations by the top attorneys in the country.

Previously, Nimmer was named by his peers in 2013 as the Best Lawyer in Houston, Copyright law, and in 2011 as the Best Lawyer in Houston, Information Technology Law.  He has also held a Fulbright Distinguished Chair in International Commercial Law.

Nimmer has taught at the law center since 1975 and served as dean for eight years before returning to the classroom last year.
