Course Outline: This course provides an introduction to the civil adjudicative process, primarily that of the federal courts, including jurisdiction, pleading, dispositive motions, discovery, and trial procedures.

First Day Assignments: The assignment for the first class is pp. 1-30 in the Friedenthal, Miller casebook. Read pp. 1-28 quickly for background information. Class discussion will focus on the Capron case (pp. 28-30).

Final Exam Schedule: 12/09/14 6pm-10pm  240 BLB
