2012 Commencement
The University of Houston Law Center will graduate its Class of 2012 at 2pm on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Hofheinz Pavilion. The Commencement Speaker is Alan R. Crain, Senior Vice President and General Counsel , Baker Hughes Incorporated.

Mr. Crain has advised Fortune 500 companies in legal and business matters throughout the world for over 30 years. He began his career with a private law firm in Washington, D.C. and has been General Counsel of three Fortune 500 multinationals, including Baker Hughes Incorporated, where he is currently the Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Baker Hughes has $20 billion in revenues, more than 50,000 employees and provides technology and services to the energy industry in over 80 countries. At Baker Hughes, he has global responsibility for all legal affairs and government relations. Mr. Crain was an adjunct Professor at the University of Houston Law Center for 10 years teaching courses in international law, including international business transactions and a seminar he created on extraterritorial applications of law. He was a Board member of the University of Houston Law Foundation for many years. He has also taught at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, as well as speaking at Stanford University Law School, Rice University, South Texas College of Law and at dozens of programs for the University of Texas. more... |
At the conclusion of the commencement ceremonies, students and their families and guests are invited to attend a reception on the Law Center campus honoring the Class of 2012. All buildings will be open to accommodate self-guided tours.
No tickets are required to attend the Law Center’s commencement ceremony or reception. The following links are provided for your information:

If you will be on campus this Summer studying for the bar exam, you will need a parking permit.

Anyone who parks in a Student lot with a Fall/Spring or Spring Only permit will need to purchase a permit. You do not need to purchase a Summer permit if you currently have an Economy, Economy Plus or a Garage Permit. - Location of Hofheinz Pavilion
