Fast growing life science industry offers opportunities for new grads, alums say

Biomedical research is a multibillion-dollar sector that is set to play a crucial role in the 21st century economy, according to three recent University of Houston Law Center alums who are part of the new legal workforce that is coalescing around Houston’s growing life sciences industry.

UHLC alumna named US Patent Office general counsel

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has appointed Sarah T. Harris ’91 as its general counsel, overseeing an office of 100 lawyers and paralegals and three deputy general counsels.
