The Pre-Law Pipeline Programs at the University of Houston Law Center has received a $25,000 donation from ConocoPhillips, one of the world’s leading exploration and production companies.

“We thank ConocoPhillips for the generous and impactful donation to the Pre-Law Pipeline Programs. These funds will alleviate financial obstacles for each scholarship recipient as they embark on their law school journey,” said Kristen Guiseppi, Pre-Law Pipeline Programs Founding Director.

The gift demonstrates the commitment of Houstonbased ConocoPhillips to strengthen future talent pipelines and support higher education while advancing the next generation of lawyers.

“We are proud to help fund the Pre-Law Pipeline Programs, which support students on their path to obtaining a successful career,” said Laura Robertson, vice president and deputy general counsel at ConocoPhillips and the company’s executive sponsor for the UH Law Center.

The Pre-Law Pipeline Programs are designed to increase opportunity for law school applicants of all backgrounds by providing law school preparatory resources for students who are first-generation, low-income, or members of groups historically underrepresented in the legal profession. These outreach programs equip students with essential tools to prepare for the Law School Admission Test, the law school application process, and the rigors of law school.

The ConocoPhillips donation will cover the cost of the LSAT and CAS registrations as well as the pipeline course for students, which includes 120+ hours of LSAT preparation, individual tutoring, law school application preparation, and supplemental resources. Scholarship recipients will also be provided with a stipend to assist with law school application fees.
