LISTING IN A REPUTABLE LAW LIST OR LEGAL DIRECTORY ¾ An attorney may list any number f representative clients in a reputable law list or legal directory so long as it conforms to other requirements.

Is it proper for an attorney to list more than six representative clients in a reputable law or legal directory so long as it otherwise complies?

An attorney is not limited to a numerical number of representative clients that may be listed in a reputable law list or legal directory so long as such listing complies with all other requirements of our rules. Old Canon No. 39 specifically limited the number of representative clients that could be so listed to six; however, the Texas Code of Professional Responsibility under Section DR 2-102(A)(6) does not provide for any limitation of numbers.
