With the beginning of a new semester, I am delighted to announce the addition of two new faculty members to the Law Center’s already exceptional legal scholars and teachers - Assistant Professor Jessica Bregant and Assistant Professor Peter N. Salib.
Assistant Professor Bregant was most recently a Jerome Hall Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indiana University Mauer School of Law. Assistant Professor Bregant also previously served as a visiting scholar at Cornell Law School.
She received her J.D. in 2008 from the University of Illinois College of Law and a PhD from the University of Chicago Booth College of Business. Assistant Professor Bregant previously was a law clerk to the Hon. Justice Rita B. Garman on the Illinois Supreme Court and a research fellow for the Illinois Program on Law, Behavior, and Social Science at the University of Illinois College of Law. Her teaching interests include criminal procedure, alternative dispute resolution, property, and psychology for law practice. In addition to her role at the Law Center, she also will serve as an Associated Faculty in the University of Houston College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology.
