UH Law Center’s Executive Director of Global and Graduate Programs Karen Jones in France during the prestigious Fulbright International Education Administrators seminar.
Oct. 17, 2022 — Karen Jones, the University of Houston Law Center’s Executive Director of Global and Graduate Programs, is participating in a two-week seminar in France this October as a Fulbright International Education Administrator award recipient.
Each year up to 12 U.S. higher education administrators from across the country are selected for the U.S. - France exchange program, which is designed to strengthen relationships between the United States and other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation.
“We are very proud of Karen Jones who is representing the University of Houston Law Center globally in France as a Fulbright awardee,” said UH Law Center Dean Leonard M. Baynes.
In France, the 2022-2023 Fulbright IEA delegation spent time in Angers, Nantes and Paris touring French higher education institutions including Nantes Université, Audencia Business School, IMT Atlantique, Université d’Angers, Université Paris-Saclay and Sciences Po Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
“It is great to represent the awesome University of Houston Law Center and to continue expanding our global footprint,” said Jones. “My Fulbright IEA colleagues and I learned about the French higher education system, visited incredible institutions and discussed possible collaborations.”
“The Fulbright France experience has been incredible and will allow me to be even more effective in my role,” added Jones.
