Judge Adolfo E. Cordova, Jr.  was born and raised in San Benito, Texas.  He obtained a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his law degree from The University of Houston. During his legal career, Adolfo has held a variety of different positions.  He has practiced in the private sector for 25 years and has handled many types of cases. While practicing as a solo practitioner, he has held the position of the City Attorney for the City of Rio Hondo, Municipal Judge for the City of San Benito, City Attorney for the City of Santa Rosa, and Magistrate Judge of Cameron County before being elected Judge of the 197th District Court of Cameron County, Texas.  Judge Cordova has also been president of the Cameron County Family Law Association. The 197th District Court is a bi-district court.  Judge Cordova presides over the 197th District Court in Cameron and Willacy Counties.
