Judge Isgur was appointed as a United States Bankruptcy Judge by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in 2004. His initial term was for 14 years. In 2018, Judge Isgur was reappointed to a second 14-year term. Judge Isgur served as Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Court for a three-year term. Chief Justice John Roberts appointed Judge Isgur to serve as the sole bankruptcy judge on the Judicial Conference Committee on Court Administration and Case Management. Judge Isgur is currently in his second three-year term on that Committee. Judge Isgur is a prolific writer. Over 500 of his opinions may be found on Westlaw and Lexis.
