The University of Houston Law Center Alumni Association recently dazzled attendees at the 47th Annual Law Gala & Auction, embracing the theme of "Bollywood Bling." More than 540 alumni, faculty, and guests graced the gala at the Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston on April 6.
The evening celebrated the accomplishments of the 2024 Alumni Association Award recipients and raised approximately $630,000. The gala and auction proceeds will fund scholarships, advocacy programs, faculty research, student organizations, library acquisitions, technology advances, student recruitment, and student activities at the UH Law Center.

For the 2024 event, Kelly Sandill ’01 served as Gala Chair with Hon. Ravi K. Sandill ’01 as Honorary Chair.
The auction created some memorable moments. The Wine Connoisseurs’ Dinner for 12 with Three Texas Supreme Court Justices stole the spotlight as the most popular item, selling for $11,000 to Robert Collins ’77.
The gala is made possible by the dedication and hard work of numerous individuals, including the event co-chairs, committee members, sponsors and volunteers.
