Health Law Writing Awards Continued

This J.D. writing award was established by Professor Laura Oren, Ph.D., J.D., in honor of Dr. Michael Ewer
and her mother, Grace Oren, to be given to the best health law paper written by a J.D. student.

Tiffany Penner (3L) received the 2022 Dr. Alvin Goldstein Health Law Writing Scholarship Award for her
paper entitled Online Banking (In)Accessibility.

The Dr. Alvin Goldstein Health Law Writing Scholarship was established by Wendy C. Goldstein-Feldman
(J.D. ‘92). The scholarship is in honor and in memory of her father, who was a pharmacist and physician.
The writing award recognizes an outstanding paper prepared by a J.D. or LL.M. student on a current
health/life sciences law topic that embodies the professional spirit of Dr. Goldstein.

Health Law Scholarships

With the help of generous donors, we awarded scholarships to several outstanding health law students.
This year, Farhan Mohiuddin and To Nhu Huynh received the Prudential Scholarship; DaLesia Boyd, Jasim
Khan, and Leah Nadel received the Health Law & Policy Institute Scholarship; and Avi Kerendian received
the John B. Neibel award for health law students. Tiffany Penner received the fourth annual Lex Frieden Tiffany Penner (3L), winner of the Dr. Alvin Goldstein Health Law
Writing Scholarship Award for 2022.
