Allison Regan, Assistant Dean
Allison joined the Career Development Office after practicing insurance coverage law in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has served in several roles in the office including: counselor, assistant director, associate director and is currently serving as the Assistant Dean. A graduate of Clemson University with a BS in Management and Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, Allison was chairman of the Moot Court Board and actively involved in the Student Bar Association while at Loyola. Allison is certified in administration and interpretation of the Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator.
Mona D. Elchahal, Associate Director
Mona graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in History, and she earned her J.D. at SMU Dedman School of Law and her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. She practiced tax and estate planning law prior to joining the Career Development Office and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Oklahoma, and the Houston Bar Association.
Kourtney James Perry, Assistant Director
Kourtney is a graduate of Harvard University with a B.A. in History of Science. She earned her J.D. from Stanford University Law School. Prior to joining the Career Development Office, Kourtney practiced corporate transactional law at a large Houston firm. While in law school, Kourtney coordinated the school’s annual Black Law Students Association conference.
Bill Powers, Career Counselor
A native Houstonian, Bill Powers is a graduate of Houston Baptist University and University of Houston Law Center. Bill joined the Career Development Office after an alternative legal career as a managing editor for a respected legal publishing company.
Bhavika Shah, Career Counselor
Prior to joining the Career Development Office, Bhavika practiced in the areas of civil litigation and workers' compensation in Illinois. She graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois – Urbana, Champaign and earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law. During law school, Bhavika worked for a variety of legal employers, including public interest, government, and in-house.
Tiffany J. Tucker, Career Counselor
Tiffany joined the Career Development Office after practicing transactional intellectual property and general corporate law at a large New York law firm and is a member of the New York Bar. Tiffany earned a B.A. in both Psychology and Sociology from Grambling State University, an M.Ed. in Counselor Education from Florida A&M University, and a J.D. from Howard University School of Law. A native Texan, Tiffany is a former mental health counselor and professional development specialist.
Catherine Wright, Program Manager
Catherine Wright received her degree in Sociology at Arizona State University. While there she worked in Campus Recreation as a Facility Coordinator. She served as a Disability Counselor at The University of Mississippi and then joined the Student Services staff at the University of Houston Law Center in 2001 working as coordinator for student organizations. Catherine plans and coordinates our student programs and small firm outreach.
Anna Julia, Program Coordinator
Anna graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in English Literature. Before joining the Career Development Office, she worked in arts education, coordinating programs for high school and college students.
