Feb. 16, 2023 – The University of Houston Law Center has earned two national rankings in the 2023 Winter issue of preLaw magazine.
The Law Center was named as one of the “Most Diverse Law Schools” and as a “Top School for Advocacy/Litigation.” UHLC has now received 47 awards from preLaw since 2018.
The ratings for the “Most Diverse Law Schools” were determined by an analysis of data provided to the American Bar Association, specifically the percentage of minority students and faculty of universities nationwide.
UH Law Center consistently produces a wide range of events and programs specific to diversity, equity and inclusion to heighten the student experience. For more information on the Diversity, Racial Justice and Human Rights Initiative click here.
The top schools for Advocacy/Litigation were selected for their programs that prepared students in a broad array of skills including being able to deliver arguments, evidence, testimony and substance in court.
The UH Law Center’s Blakely Advocacy Institute courses cover the entire dispute resolution continuum, including several specialty courses like Storytelling, Advocacy Survey and International Arbitration Advocacy.
UH Law Center also earned recognition in seven national areas for top specialty programs and best value from preLaw magazine in the Fall 2022 and Back to School 2022 issues.
