UH Law Center receives nine Education Digital Marketing Awards

Jan. 19, 2024 — The University of Houston Law Center has been recognized in a national competition for outstanding digital advertising and marketing communications. The Education Digital Marketing Awards (EMDA) honored the Law Center in nine areas including website design, digital publications and social media campaigns.

“The UH Law Center marketing and communications team does an excellent job of designing beautiful and compelling marketing materials that showcase the excellence of the Law Center, its faculty, staff, students and alumni,” Dean Leonard Baynes said. “As dean, I am very proud of our accomplishments in this arena under the leadership of Assistant Dean Carrie A. Criado.”

Overall, UHLC received nine awards, four gold, four silver and one bronze. The digital publication Aspiring Lawyer and the Introduction to the Constitutional Amendments with Dean Baynes each earned gold.

The Law Center was recognized in the following categories:

EDMA is a national platform that recognizes excellence in marketing and advertising within the education sector. Submissions were assessed for creativity, marketing execution, message impact, technology application and innovation content by a national panel of industry specialists.

The UHLC marketing team consists of Carrie Criado, assistant dean of communications and marketing, Mel Miranda, marketing director, Bonnie Buffaloe, communications manager, Dayna Hudson, senior graphic designer, Jaymie Turner, program director, Ruth McCleskey, web project manager, and Baroness Adams, web developer.
