March 14, 2024 — Members of the Junior Intellectual Property Scholars' Association (JIPSA) convened for a two-day workshop at the University of Houston Law Center (UHLC). The February event brought together emerging scholars from various institutions across the nation to engage in discussions on intellectual property law.
“We are proud of our junior IP colleagues and are thrilled to host JIPSA and help foster intellectual exchange among the next generation of legal scholars,” said Greg Vetter, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Co-Director for the Institute for Intellectual Property and Information Law (IPIL) at UHLC.
The workshop featured presentations from the UHLC’s intellectual property faculty, including assistant professors of law Aman Gebru, Nikolas Guggenberger and Andrew Michaels.
Topics of discussion ranged from early-stage research projects to full drafts of scholarly work, covering different aspects of intellectual property law. The JIPSA workshop provides a platform for participants to receive feedback, refine their ideas, and network with peers and mentors in the field.
