May 30, 2024 — Julian Cardenas Garcia, Director of the Center for U.S. and Mexican Law at the University of Houston Law Center, represented UHLC earlier this year at the 60th anniversary of the Universidad Anahuac Mexico.
“I look forward to more cooperation between the two academic institutions,” Cardenas said.
At the anniversary celebration in Mexico, Prof. Cardenas met with Dr. Cipriano Sánchez García, Rector of the Universidad Anahuac Mexico, who gave a speech on the academic institution maintaining its drive for quality education and emphasized the importance of prioritizing the demand for academic training.
The Universidad Anahuac Mexico welcomed other universities, student representatives, municipal authorities and diplomats at the event.
UHLC’s Center for U.S. and Mexican Law works on bilateral legal affairs between the two nations and promotes exchanges among academic institutions. The center was established in 2012 and is the first independent research center in the U.S. dedicated to the study of Mexican law and legal aspects of U.S.-Mexico relations.
The center collaborates with multiple prestigious Mexican institutions in programs that stimulate integration and the regular exchange of information and experiences.
