June 10, 2025 - The University of Houston Law Center recently hosted its annual Golden Brunch, a tradition honoring alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. This year, special recognition was given to the Class of 1975 as they celebrated their 50th anniversary.
Professor Emerita Jacqueline L. Weaver (J.D. ’75) delivered a heartfelt address, reflecting on the shared experiences and challenges faced by her cohort during their time in law school. The event also honored distinguished alumni Richard Coselli (J.D. ’58), Professor Emeritus John Mixon (J.D. ’55), and John Jay Toomey (J.D. ’51) for their contributions to society.
Dean Leonard M. Baynes provided an update on the Law Center’s progress and expressed deep appreciation to the alumni for setting a high bar for current and future students.
Next year’s Golden Brunch, which will honor the Class of 1976 and other milestone alumni, is scheduled for April 30, 2026.
