
Aug 08, 2025 – The Institute for Energy Law included seven University of Houston Law Center alumni in their 2025-2026 Leadership Class, a national honor recognizing early-career professionals making an impact in the energy sector.

These UHLC graduates join a group of 43 professionals with experience ranging from three to 13 years. The class includes professionals specializing in oil and gas litigation and transactions, energy transition, land and title, midstream, upstream, natural gas, hydrogen, and more. The program will begin virtually in August and is designed to foster leadership and connection among a group of rising energy professionals.
UHLC Dean Leonard M. Baynes congratulated the group. “This recognition reflects not only the alumni’s individual achievements, but also the strength and reputation of UH Law’s Energy Law program,” Baynes said. “We are proud to see our alumni leading the way in such an important area of law.”
The IEL is a part of The Center for American and International Law and aims to provide superior educational and professional opportunities for lawyers and other professionals in the energy industry. The organization was founded in 1947 and continues to grow its impact on an international level.
