This year’s entering class includes 39 foreign students pursuing a US LL.M. The come from 19 countries and 37 foreign universities. Among them is a Fulbright Scholar from Venezuela, and an Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellow from Azerbaijan. There at 13 foreign students in the Foreign Scholars program, 9 in the International Law program, 9 in the Energy, Environmental and Natural Resources program, 6 in the Intellectual Property and Information Law program, 1 in the Health Law program, and 1 in the Tax program. Over the years, students from 82 countries have participated. This year the Texas Lawyer has ranked our overall LL.M. program as number one among Texas law schools.
In the J.D. program, there are currently three students from foreign countries, from India, Japan, and South Korea. There are also two students from Canada who are part of the NACLE exchange program.
